Then it automatically engages both front wheels with full torque, delivering true all-wheel traction (AWD) right when you need it. It reverts back to 2WD automatically when you don't need it. When you push the switch from 2WD to AWD at any ground speed, you automatically get all-wheel traction right when you need it.
